With an international background and recognized expertise in quantum technologies and innovation, Lydia Baril brings to C12 a unique experience gained at major tech firms and advanced startups.
Holding a Ph.D. in physics from Université Paris-Saclay, she has led multidisciplinary teams and overseen strategic programs at Microsoft, Oxford Quantum Circuits, Pasqal, and most recently served as Head of Quantum DTU at the Technical University of Denmark. Lydia is also the author of 28 international publications and holds 7 patents in nanotechnology and quantum fields.
A recognized innovator, she has excelled in driving the development of breakthrough technologies, forging strategic partnerships, and turning ideas into industrial success. Her leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence will be key assets in supporting C12’s growth and accelerating innovation around quantum technologies.
Reporting directly to the CEO, Lydia will play a pivotal role in shaping C12’s strategic ecosystem. She will lead major research partnerships across industry, academia, and public institutions, while identifying and leveraging opportunities for grants and public funding. She will oversee intellectual property strategy and support the scaling of the supply chain. Lydia will also represent C12 in major consortia, industrial forums, and in engagements with government or public entities.
