Director Lab

Job Specification:

• Responsible for overall administration and governance of the lab.
• Oversee projects progress, meetings and correspondence.
• Observe and ensure that the highest standards of confidentiality for the projects are being followed.
• Provide administrative support for the projects where and when required.
• Interact with Public/Private/Defence/Academia sectors for coordination, service delivery, issue resolution and project execution etc.

Qualification:

PhD/MS/MPhil (18 years of education) in a relevant discipline of Physics or Electronics or System Engineering or Electrical  Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or Cyber Security or Information Security such as Quantum  Communication, Quantum Computing, Quantum Mechanics, Photonics, Quantum Cryptography, etc. and fifteen years overall experience at any national or international department, institute, organization or agency.

Other Details:

• At least 7 years’ experience of administering/ governing national/ international level public/ private sector communication/information security projects.
• At least 5 years’ experience as lead researcher/ team lead for R&D and/ or deployment projects preferably in Quantum Technologies.
• Knowledgeable of standards and publications pertaining to the relevant domains of quantum technologies (e.g. NIST Publications, etc.) found on the lab’s scope.
• Must possess working experience/ practical knowledge in at least one of these domains i.e. Quantum Communication, Quantum Computing, Quantum Cryptography, Photonics, Quantum Networks, Quantum Random Number Generation.
• Skill in identifying Research, Development & Evaluation infrastructure (people, tools, instrumentation) requirements for Quantum Technologies.
